Women have played an essential role in peacebuilding, both at grassroots and institutional levels, throughout history. However, their contributions have often been overlooked or marginalized. The Women, Peace & Security agenda seeks to rectify this by recognizing and valuing the role of women in peace and security efforts. It recognizes that sustainable peace can only be achieved when women are actively involved in decision-making processes and their rights and experiences are fully addressed.

We explore policy frameworks, international commitments, and advocacy efforts aimed at advancing the Women, Peace & Security agenda. We examine the implementation of these policies at national, regional, and global levels and discuss challenges and best practices. -
